Campsites are open for camping from 1 June to 31 October annually.

What You Need to Make a Booking
Read the Kowanyama Camping Terms and Conditions. You will have to accept the Terms and Conditions with your payment.

Begin the booking process by having the following information ready:

The camping location and site number you prefer.

Your check-in and check-out dates.

The contact person making this booking.

The vehicle plate numbers of up to 3 vehicles that will use the site.

The names of all campers (no more than 15 campers per site) who will be using the site and the vehicle registration number they will be traveling in.

The boat(s) registration numbers.

Next go to the "Sites" table and form to make a booking.
Instructions for Making a Booking

The instructions below are for you if you are using a laptop or desktop computer.

Enter the dates and number of campers into the table under the "Sites" heading to see which locations and sites are still available to you. The search engine will not return available site information on a search that exceeds the site limitation of 15 campers.

Choose the campsite you prefer from the list and then click on "More Info". Fill out the form to make your booking. You will have to re-enter your check-in and check-out dates.

The cost per camper is $33. This includes GST.
Click here to fill out and submit the Kowanyama Camping Permit Application online.
You must complete and return the application at least two weeks before your check-in date and your permit will be issued within two days.
Access to campsites without a permit is prohibited.
